12/05/2017 · Touch ID worked again a day later after I quit Activity Monitor and restarted my MacBook Pro 15". Looking back I think the problems started when Activity Monitor crashed. Since then it crashes randomly so I quit using it. Hope now that Touch ID will keep working and will report back if that is not the case and if any remedies exist.
